The Flora collection is a footwear collaboration between Kunitz Shoes and 3 Edmonton based women artists. Focused on the flowers, trees and plants that inspire us, this collection of custom designed footwear seeks to lighten each step and add some beauty to your everyday life. Designed in YEG and manufactured in Turkey. Kristine is an established Edmonton based jeweler, working mainly in copper and enamel. Taking inspiration from the world that surrounds us, her designs are distinctive and often depict the natural wonders that make Alberta so beautiful. For the Kunitz Shoe’s YEG Flora collection, Kristine has designed a Mountain Ash motif that features the unique leaves, flowers and berries that adorn this hearty tree. Growing up in Millwoods I spent a lot of time climbing the mountain ash trees in our yard with the neighborhood kids. I love watching the tree transform from spring through to winter and seeing the creatures who feed off of it all year long.
