The rumours are true. We’re hard at work on our new Kunitz x Lance Cardinal collection. We’ve got some amazing things currently in the design phase of our collaboration, so stay tuned for details and progress updates. We are hoping to have a launch date of early fall 2023!
Our first Kunitz x Lance Cardinal collection sold out in just a couple of days. The response was overwhelming to our collaboration, and we’re so thankful to have been supported in this journey by so many wonderful people.
The Royal Alberta Museum will be inducting examples of the Kunitz x Lance Cardinal into their permanant collections. The products of the collaboration represent an important representation of contemporary indigenous artifacts. And we just thought they were cool shoes!?!
Lance Cardinal, of the Bigstone Cree Nation, has quickly become one of Alberta’s leading First Nation artists and entrepreneurs. He is a member of Treaty 8 territory and comes from Calling Lake, Alberta. His 30-year journey in the arts has allowed him to work with world class organizations all over Canada including IKEA Edmonton, Rugby Canada, Unbelts, Telus World of Science, Edmonton Public Library, and Fort Edmonton. His most recent work has involved working as a designer and consultant for the Edmonton Oilers, writing the new pre-game land acknowledgment video and designing the new Turtle Island Logo.
